GARY AND MARTY CRAWFORD
CCAM
The end of 2017 brought travel for Gary and Marty. Gary made a trip to St. Thomas after two hurricanes had ravaged the island. His trip resulted in funds to rebuild a pastor’s home and help some of ABWE’s local partners. Crawfords’ church in Florida hopes to be sending some construction teams to help with projects there this year. Then, an unscheduled trip to help the Nicaragua missionaries sort out some urgent matters. This week, they were in Orlando at ABWE’s annual Global Operations Summit involving leaders from all regions. Early February will see them in Jamaica helping prefield missionaries make a survey trip as well as checking in with missionaries, Caleb and Charity Gibbs. They say 2018 will be a heavy travel year and are asking us to pray with them as they schedule trips and activities. Pray for the funds they need for these trips.
DR HARRY AND JAN
Harry and Jan are headed for South Asia the first week of February. This will be Jan’s first trip in two years as recurrent and severe lung infections have grounded her. Thank God her present treatment is working well and is portable. They’ll be visiting in Bangladesh to help with critical issues involving the Rohingya refugees, many of whom end up in the ABWE hospital in Malumghat for treatment. They are praying for a missionary couple to take on the position of Regional Director for BD. Harry is presently acting as ED for South Asia and RD for Bangladesh. Harry and Jan will also participate in the Far East Leadership Training Seminar in Jakarta where ABWE’s Asia team leaders will meet for training. They ask us to pray “for the Holy Spirit to move as only he can to refresh, unify, inspire and lead us all”. Pray also for a January 31st Essential Mission Components redesign task force meeting in which Harry and Jan play a significant part. They teach and develop materials to train missionaries in church planting strategy.
KELLY AND SHERRI FATH
CEEMED
Faths were in Kosovo recently meeting with their missionary team and leading the fields’ quarterly business meeting. They invited a Pristina (capital city) pastor to provide insights on local church planting and were able to meet with another pastor to discuss a potential partnership in planting a church. They have highlighted the ministry in Ukraine in their last letter asking us to pray for new teammates “to continue investing in multiple ministries including the Church Ministries Institute and the Choose Life Ministry and Pregnancy Care Center”.

GARY AND MARTY CRAWFORD
CARIBBEAN, CENTRAL AMERICA & MEXICO
Crawfords’ year opened with the annual conference of ABWE’s Global Operations (GO) team made up of leadership from the top down to the Regional Director level.  The team met in Orlando, FL, to discuss different aspects of mission, including inspirational times and plenty of fellowship.  Gary says, “We thank God for our counterparts around the world and their commitment to holding the Word of God in high esteem.” God has led a number of couples to apply to work in the Caribbean, Central America and Mexico (CCAM) and Gary says they are working diligently to prepare themselves for serving Him.  Praise God for His provision of new manpower, including our own Rich and Cherry Smith (Costa Rica).  Ask God to supply their support needs and move them onto their fields as soon as possible.  Pray for the preparations Crawford’s will be making for the CCAM Regional Conference in Orlando, October, 2017, when all the CCAM missionaries will meet together.
DOUG AND CHERYL BOISVERT
MONGOLIA
Doug and Cheryl, along with Keith and Dawn Treadway and a third couple are in Mongolia this week sharing courses on the Minor Prophets with three Mongolian Tri-M leaders.  Each of these local pastors will be teaching one of the Prophets, ‘getting their feet wet’, Doug says, as they begin taking on some of the responsibilities of leading modules independently.  Pray for them to “be strengthened in the inner man” and to sense God’s calling for teaching in future modules.  Pray also for the teaching team to “stay on track, stay Scriptural, and stay culturally sensitive” to the Mongolians and their needs.  Cheryl, Dawn and Mrs. Berrus will be conducting a seminar for the pastors’ wives on the weekend.  They are praying they’ll be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading to meet needs as specifically as possible.  There will be a graduation of a second group of Church leaders who’ve been studying now for two-and-a-half years.  Pray they’ll be challenged to train others to correctly interpret God’s Word.
