Every Wednesday, from 09/02/2020 to 09/30/2020, 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Wednesday Gatherings

Our Wednesday Night Team is SO excited to offer something a bit different in September...Wednesday Night Gatherings @ the Playground!  Here are the details!

WHO: We will have programming designed for Elementary (K-4) and 5-6th graders, but please feel free to bring all your kiddos!

WHEN: Every Wednesday Night in September 6:30-7:30

WHERE: @ the WBC Playground (behind the garage!)

WHAT'S THE SAME? The purpose of our Wednesday NIghts programming has always been a chance to touch base mid-week to worship, hear a Bible lesson, pray, memorize Scripture, and play games.  We are still going to do all of those things!

WHAT'S DIFFERENT?  Along with time to play on the new playground, there will be snow cones, popsicles, maybe even a foam machine.  But the BIGGEST difference is this is a FAMILY night...instead of dropping your kids off to go to your own Bible study or class, families will gather together to worship and hear teaching from God's Word.

PICTURE THIS...

Arrive anytime after 6:00 with your chairs or a picnic blanket and get settled.  Your kiddos can play on the playground, toss a football with some friends, sit under a tree and chat, or come get a snow cone!  Feel free to chat with other parents or maybe you need time to just sit and read.

When it's time for worship, the kids will gather around and sing with Mr. Seth.  I think you'll enjoy this 'sneak peak' into some of our favorite worship songs!  Next, your elementary kids will come back and sit with you while Ms. Lyndsay teaches a lesson.  Afterward, you'll have a chance to chat about what you and your kiddo learned from the lesson, pray, and work on our memory verse.  5-6th graders will join Mr. Seth for their own lesson and Bible study.

Just when the kiddos may be getting a bit restless, we will call them over for game time!  While we play our games, you can let your little ones play on the playground, chat with another family, or maybe take this opportunity to have your "chair time" (as Pastor Jon calls it!) with the Lord.

At 7:30 you can pack up and head home or feel free to stay, linger, play, rest, and chat.  Maybe play a game of disc golf as a family!

WHY? We want this to be a time where you can connect with your kids and feel a little more equipped to lead your own weekly family worship time by experiencing it with us.  We also see this as an opportunity to help you be intentional for 1 hour...intentional with your kids, your spouse, your community, with the Lord.  That may look different for each person, and that's okay!

No need to register!  Just show up.

Let Lyndsay Steward know if you have any questions...we'll see you at the playground!
