Baptism

We believe that baptism is a public declaration of an individual's decision to follow Jesus. It follows a long tradition practiced in the church, connecting to images of Jesus’s death and resurrection by immersing the individual in water, and raising him or her up out of it. Our desire is for you to understand baptism as a response to the Gospel... the good news that Jesus died and rose again, sacrificing himself to answer for our sins, providing a way for us to be reconciled to our Creator. It is an opportunity to publicly identify with Jesus in his death and resurrection, acknowledging that we are sinners in need of a Savior.

Baptism is not a means of salvation; rather, it is a beautiful picture of our union with Christ and our declaration that we join Him as a people who are now living for His purposes.
